The goal of our Post is to help Veterans and their families in any way we can.
Our Post now has Post Service Officer (PSO) that is a VA-accredited Service Officer, Howard Whitehead. He is particularly focused on helping Veterans and surviving family members obtain their VA benefits.
To contact the PSO:
Also, see the Links Page and our Service Officer sub-pages in the menu at the upper right for possible resources and other information.
Sorry, Active Duty folks, we cannot intervene with your Command or your Service's processes and procedures in any way.
All in person meetings with the PSO are at the Post by appointment only.
If you are coming to talk about VA claims, especially new claims or appeals, be sure to bring as much of these documents as you can:
As always, assistance from the PSO is open to ALL Veterans and is FREE OF CHARGE.
Another option for help is to go to the weekly Claims Clinic meetup at VAMC Sousely (Leestown), Building 28, downstairs, every Tuesday and Friday starting at 8 am. End time varies. It is first-come-first-served and often quite busy so get there early.
If you are from outside our area and want help, our PSO can work with you remotely or you can go to
https://www.va.gov/get-help-from-accredited-representative/find-rep/
to find a VA-accredited Service Officer near you.
ALWAYS use a fully VA-accredited Service Officer. If somenoe tells you they are accredited, you can check by calling the VA at
