We had been kicking around the idea of a mural on the alley side of our building for a while and it just so happened that Versailles' own Stephen Sawyer has had a passion project of a specfic mural in mind for quite a while.
There are several veterans depicted along the bottom from different eras. One of them, representing the Revolutionary Warr, will be the namesake of our post's meeting hall, Capt. William P. Black. He was the first Medal of Honor recipient from Kentucky and the only one born in Woodford County and is represented by the Revolutionary War soldier.
There will be a QR code on the mural which when scanned will take you to Mr. Sawyer's web page (see link below) where you can read a bit about the folks depicted.
