The Veteran Banners which you see along some streets of Versailles and Midway are a cooperative effort between the Woodford Post 67 Auxiliary and these cities.  They are displayed at the descretion of the respective cities, usually around each Memoral Day and Veterans Day.

Application

• The deadline for the 2024 application period has passed.  The next application period will be in 2026.
• If you already have a banner you do not need a new application.
• The fee for 2024 was $79.12 per Versailles banner or $48.65 per Midway banner.  The price difference is due to the different sizes of the banners in each city and the prices may go up for 2026.

Hanging the Banners

The cities have sole control over storing, hanging, and removing the banners.  If there are more banners than there are places to hang them, not all banners will be displayed on each occasion  Also, specific banners are not hung on specific poles each time.  Your Veteran could pop up anywhere within the city for which they were bought and, at times, may not be seen at all.  If you have questions about this, please contact the city.
